I am searching for my mothers birth mother. My mother was born Oct. 11, 1940. Her birth certificate says she was born in Little Rock Arkansas. A child welfare consultant from the Arkansas Department of Public Welfare sent a letter to the adoptive parents and described the birth mother as a 19 year old orphan with dark hair and dary eyes and 5'8" tall. She had 2 brothers, one older and one younger. Both brothers were brunette, one brother was in the army and the other in CCC camp. They were told the birth mothers name was Sallie Knox. The baby's father was a farmer with blue eyes and dark hair. 5'10" |
