LOOKING FOR BIRTH PARENTS!! Desperately need help; I am a female adoptee; I was born on November 29,1968. I have some grave medical conditions and would desperately like to find out health info from my birth family. I was told I was born in Tyler, TX, in Smith County at Mother Frances Hospital. (Possibility I was instead born in Dallas -- not sure.) From what I think I know so far -- I think my b-mom was named Linda Kay Brown <--maiden name, and that she went to John Tyler High in Tyler. She was 17 when she got married in 1967. She married a man who was about 20, from Dallas; his name was (from what I can tell so far) Lawrence Richard Allen, or possibly Larry.) They had me in '68 and I believe they were then divorced in Dallas County around 1970. My b-mom gave me up when I was about three days old. Apparently my b-dad believed that I was a product of an affair that my b-mom was supposedly having; there was a medicine bottle found in my "baby bag" from the hospital in Tyler, which had the last name "Gonzales" or "Gonzalez". My b-dad refused at first to sign the papers giving me up, because he was afraid he might be signing something that would indicate he is my father, and he didn't think he was dad, and so he didn't want me. From some Social Security death index I looked at, it kind of looks like my b-dad might be deceased. I can't really tell for sure about my b-mom; I have found conflicting reports about her still being alive. I have lived 36 years under a lie, of my adopted mom saying she had absolutely no info about my parents, and then she told a friend of mine a few years ago that she DID know something about them, the name of my b-mom, her high school, etc. There is a deeply empty space in my heart; I just would like to know if my mom or dad is alive; If they are old and ill, I want to be there to take care of them. I don't have a need to ask them why they gave me up -- although there was much abuse and even molestation in the family that adopted me. I can get past that. I just would like to know my mommy and daddy, or know if they are okay, or if they need me, or if I have a sister or brother somewhere looking for me. The pain of not knowing me is chewing me alive. I just want to hug my parents, or at least know where they are buried, if I'm too late. If ANYONE has any knowledge about my situation, I beg you -- any little bit of info could help a lot. If you know anything about a baby given up by Linda Kay (Brown) Allen in November of 1968 in Tyler, Tx, or if you know of a man named Lawrence/Larry Richard Allen, possibly around Dallas or somewhere else in Texas -- I beg you from the bottom of my heart. If you know them, of course contact them first, because I do not wish to disrupt anyone's life. My heart just needs to know. It is an unimaginable pain. Wherever you are, Mama and Daddy, I do love you and have always forgiven you. Just in case -- if the man I think is my b-dad has worried that I was the product of an interracial affair (with the Gonzalez person, presumably a Hispanic man) -- I can promise you I'm not Hispanic in the least -- so if that is what you were worried about, I'm about as white as it gets, dark hair, light skin, freckles. I looked in my mom's high school yearbook and I saw a small picture of her. She seems to have the same attributes I do (hair and coloring). Please, if any of you two are alive... please know I won't barge into your life, and I don't need anything more than what you would want to share. I just need to know you're there, or you were there, and hopefully have a talk or two, if that would be acceptable. I miss you, mom and dad, although I don't remember you. I hope you all are doing well. If not, call on me. I will be by your side. Please, Mama or Dad. I have crying for you in my prayer for over 30 years, and have never found anyone who can help me.
