Birth Parents. My Birth Mother was named Helen Luke, she may have originally come from Detroit or surrounding area. I was born on May 31, 1949. I understand my birth mother was a young single woman perhaps eighteen or nineteen. Sent to Boston Massachusetts where I was born at St. Margarets Hospital, I thought. I recently came to believe I was born in a place perhaps run by the Catholic Church, for un-wed mothers I believe it was called St. Mary's. I was adopted in November of 1949, by Bernard and Audrey Foley. At birth I was named Mary Louise Luke, my adopted parents changed my name to Elizabeth Ann. I was placed with the Catholic Chartible Bureau. I was in foster care until approximately 5 months.
