LARKIN, Thomas Joseph - DOB: October 18, 1904
Grapevine has it he was born in New York. Traveled to Louisiana aboard the "Orphan Train", under a year of age, and a family by the name of TASSIN adopted him. We believe he had sibilings but they were all separated. We are told that the church/orphanage burned and all records were destroyed. In the late 1800's when these orphan train children were adopted, sometimes their names were changed to the adoptive parents' name. Anyone having info regarding any Larkin's who traveled onboard the "Orphan Train" would be greatly appreciated. |
