I am searching for my fathers birth family. He was born Pat Bruce (named by his bio mom) on May 4, 1938 in Toronto. His adoption was finalized in 1939, his birth mother signed the papers in Bruce County. His mother was from Bruce County as well. She was listed as an unmarried domestic. It is believed that his mother may have been from one of the first nations communities in the area. She left Bruce county to have the baby and then returned. He was renamed Bruce Wilkinson. The law firm in Toronto that handled the adoption was Garvey and Ferris. Any info on my blood relatives would be appreciated.
