My name is CHANDRAKANTHI Sluggett. I am looking for my birth family who might be in SRILANKA and/or another country. Approximately at the age of 10, I was adopted with another girl SUNETHRA, by the SLUGGETT family and came to AUSTRALIA in 1978. I was then at the BIEYGAMA VIHARAMAHADEVI all girls BUDDHIST CHILDRENS' HOME and lived there about 4 years. Prior to it, I think I also lived at PANADURA childrens' home for a very short time when I was very little. According to my Australian birth date, I am now 41 years of age. I don't know what my real birthdate is or how I got my first name. I still look similar to when I was a young. I am told that my family came to the orphange looking for me about 1 year after I came to Australia. I might have one brother and my mother might be living in a village not far from Bieygama town. To my memory, I lived with my family until I was about 2-4 years of age. My family might have given me away or left me in the hospital because I got very ill. In January 2001, I put my story in the SriLankan Newspapers when I visited SriLanka looking for my family.
