I am an adoptee abandoned in a Chicago Hospital March 22, 1971. The only thing I know about my mother is that she was Half Souix Half Cherokee Indian. She left as soon as I was born. The state of Illinois took custody of me and I was placed in a foster home and them adopted into that family I was placed in. I was given the name Elizabeth by the hospital. I don't know if this is the name given to me by the staff or is the only known name of my mother and then named to me.
